(ELKO, NEV.) Message from President Amber Donnelli:

I am thrilled to share some outstanding news about the achievements of our Manufacturing Machining Technology (MTT) program! This year, a talented team of GBC MTT students competed in the national Project MFG competition, an elite event that challenges students to showcase their skills in precision manufacturing, including machining tight tolerance parts from aluminum and 3D printing functional gears.

Out of 60 teams from across the country, I am proud to announce that GBC’s MTT team has earned a spot in the top 16! They will now advance to the regional semifinals in March, demonstrating the exceptional skill, innovation, and technical excellence fostered in our program.

This achievement is a testament to the dedication and hard work of both our students and faculty in preparing the next generation of highly skilled professionals in manufacturing. Their success exemplifies the high-quality, hands-on education that GBC provides.

The competition will be recorded and featured on YouTube’s Clash of the Trades series, where the top four teams will move on to the national finals. We look forward to cheering on our team as they continue to represent GBC on this national stage!

Please join me in congratulating our MTT students and faculty on this incredible accomplishment! Stay tuned for more updates as they continue their journey to the finals.

President Donnelli
